Company Profile
Tri-State Machine was founded in 1962 as a contract job machine shop with 4 employees. We have grown to be one of the most competent and reliable job shops in the tri-state area with over 100 employees. Customer satisfaction continues to be the driving force behind our business as it was over 50 years ago.
Tri-State Machine is located in Wheeling, WV, approximately 63 miles south west of Pittsburgh, PA, with ready access to interstate highways and air transportation. Our present facilities contain over 400,000 square feet of combined fabrication and machining floor space.
Our machine shop consists of CNC and conventional milling, turning, boring and lathe equipment. We are equipped with Mastercam, CAM, CAD and ProEngineering software packages to assist in manufacturing.
Our fabrication department is certified for unlimited thickness in welding to AWS D1.1 or D1.5, fracture critical. We can also perform the following processes: TIG (MIG), GMAW, SMAW, SAW and Flame Treatment. The fabrication department additionally has a plate pattern burn machine, abrasive blast-room, 2 paint-booths, and an assembly pit with a 40 ton overhead crane.
Our Quality Assurance department is housed in an environmentally controlled gage room. We have 3 Sheffield three axis coordinate measuring machines to insure that our customers receive only quality parts. Quality is further insured by a digital height gage, granite tables, hardness tester, magnetic particle inspection, certified gages to meet the requirements of our company quality assurance program.
